you’ve been elfed
Elf your friends, neighbors or your family with a surprise, at-home candy cane hunt! One of Santa’s elves will hide two dozen candy canes and extra mini candy canes in your front yard and leave a “You’ve Been Elfed” sign on the front door. Must be a Salt Creek Resident or live in Palatine. Elfing will take place on the days and times below. Participants will then have 24 hours to spread the fun to a friend or neighbor. Please leave the elf sign in your front yard or window, so neighbors know you’ve been elfed.

north pole express
Experience the magic of our North Pole Express! The train will depart from the Arlington Park Train Station and head to the ‘North Pole’ and back. Enjoy a special reading of the “Polar Express” book, play holiday games, sing Christmas carols, answer trivia, take pictures with our special guest and more! Cookies and chocolate milk will be provided to everyone on the train. Pre-registration is required! Children under 1 year are free. All participants (including adults) must register. Please check in 20 minutes before departure time. September 2-12 registration open for Residents only. Open Registration begins September 15. Please register early!

breakfast with santa
Join us at the Twin Lakes Clubhouse for a morning full of delicious food, games, crafts and Santa Claus. Breakfast (eggs, pancakes, sausage, coffee, milk and orange juice) will be provided. Table assignments will be made, so if you have any special requests, please indicate that at the time of registration. Tables will be set for 8 people. Note: Pre-registration required. Parents must accompany children. No registration will be taken the day of the event. Please bring your own camera for pictures and a portable highchair if needed. No refunds if cancellation is within 48 hours before event.

FAMILY HOLIDAY PUZZLE PALOOZA
Join us for a night of family fun! Put your problem-solving skills to the test and show off your favorite holiday-themed attire, whether it’s cozy sweaters, twinkling lights, or Santa hats! noon year’s eve party
Ring in the New Year early at our Noon Year’s celebration located at the Sports Center. Come dressed in your favorite pajamas! There will be a bounce house, dancing, photo ops, crafts, games, a snack and refreshment for the children followed by a countdown to noon and balloon drop. Our concession stand will be open.

winterfest
Snow or no snow, bring the family out to enjoy a day of winter fun at Twin Lakes. The Free Spirit Sled Demo Team will be performing sled demonstrations and have huskies to meet and greet. Bring your own ice skates (weather dependent). The Stillman Nature Center will be here with their birds of prey to meet up close. There will also be pony rides, vendors, a fire pit, s’mores and more! Winter-themed food and drink will be available for purchase. Be sure to dress warm, as this is mainly an outdoor event. Inside the Clubhouse, please check-in for this event. Pre-Registration required. All ages welcome!

PUZZLE PALOOZA
